New Requirements for Dangerous Goods Railway Transport and the College's Educational Initiative

A working meeting on the topic "Legislative Changes and New Regulations in the Field of Dangerous Goods Railway Transport" was held in Batumi, organized by the Railway Transport Agency. The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Tamar Ioseliani, who engaged with organizations in Western Georgia involved in the railway transport of dangerous goods.

Special attention was given to a new requirement, according to which, starting from January 1, 2027, organizations involved in the railway transport of dangerous goods will be required to have at least one certified dangerous goods transport specialist.

Railway Transport College is preparing to obtain status as an authorized provider of training for dangerous goods railway transport specialists from the LEPL Railway Transport Agency, and, in line with this effort, provided sector representatives with detailed information during the meeting about its training program for preparing dangerous goods transport specialists.
